Surely this start of the year has brought with it few cold and rainy days, and the ones that struck us the most were the days when we felt a slight spring coming early in February.
Now we welcome MARCH, the month par excellence for rebirth and the awakening of nature, eagerly awaited not only for the arrival of spring but also for the celebration of Easter.
Are you ready to color your looks and your home corners with soft pastel colors or bright shades that refresh the atmosphere?
In the world of crochet, spring represents the perfect opportunity to start new projects, those that will not only beautify our homes but will also accompany us on our outings, making us an integral part of this natural awakening. Imagine creating light scarves, decorated with floral patterns, that gently sway in the breeze of a spring breeze, or creating colorful crochet bags, perfect for any outdoor walk or an afternoon in the city.
To welcome spring, we have decided to offer you an easy and quick pattern to learn a new technique, which features a thread and various colors to mix.
We prefer fresh and contrasting colors or similar shades that are slightly different, here are some examples.

The colors to show off in our crochet works reflect the wonderful shades that nature offers us at this time of the year. Think of fresh and vivid tints like the acid green of new leaves, the blue of the clear spring sky, the pink and coral of spring sunsets. These colors will not only brighten our days but will also add a touch of cheerfulness and freshness to our outfits and home environments.
Here are some color combinations, both contrasting and solid, that might inspire you for your project:
We hope these combinations inspire you for your spring project. Remember that the choice of colors is very personal and can vary according to individual taste and the purpose of the project.
Crochet jacquard work is a technique that allows creating designs and patterns using multiple yarn colors, adding intricate and colorful details to projects. Below, you will find a step-by-step guide to creating a two-color jacquard crochet work.
It is used not only for colorful patterns but also for decorative accessories like American placemats where a certain compactness and consistency in the work are necessary.
Crochet hook of the size suitable for the chosen yarn.
Two yarn colors (here referred to as Color A and Color B).
Scissors.
Wool needle for finishing.

Begin your project with a base chain using Color A, of the length needed for your pattern or project. We count 3 chains to develop with one color and 3 with the other, so we will have 3 groups of 3 chains for the work with one color and 3 groups for the other, for a total of 18 chains + 3 to develop the double crochet.
Work the first row in the desired stitch (for example, double crochet), following the pattern of your project. At the end of the row, if the next color according to the pattern is different, change yarn in the following way.
At the point where you need to change color, do not close the last stitch with the first yarn used but insert the second color yarn and close the stitch.

Continue working with the second color, keeping the yarn of the first color laid on the back of the work at the starting chains, dragging it along the entire row and simultaneously taking the yarn and the underlying chain.
Once the first row is completed, turn the work, start the next row which will result on the back of the work: work 3 chains, bring the dragged yarn to the front of the work and execute the 1st double crochet of the row and continue as described in step 2 taking simultaneously the yarn and the underlying double crochet.
In the following row, right side of the work, bring the dragged yarn to the back of the work.
Once your work is completed, finish by hiding all the ends with a wool needle, making sure that the back of the work is as clean and neat as the front.
Crochet jacquard work may seem complicated at first, but with a bit of practice, it will become a valuable addition to your crochet skills. This technique opens up a world of creative possibilities, allowing you to add complex and colorful designs to your projects.
The crochet jacquard technique offers endless creative possibilities, enabling you to create unique and personalized projects. Here are some project ideas you could execute using this two-color technique:
When choosing the project to realize with the jacquard technique, consider the level of detail of the pattern and how the chosen colors will complement each other. Remember, the beauty of this technique lies in the possibility of creating unique designs, so let yourself be inspired by your creativity and the yarns you have available.
Happy crocheting!
