✨ TESSILAND STUDIOFrequently Asked Questions about Technical Threads
What is the difference between nylon thread and elastic thread?
Nylon thread is rigid and transparent, ideal for invisible seams and for attaching clic clac closures to bags. Elastic thread stretches: it is used for gathers, waistbands and elastic cuffs.
Can I use Tessiland nylon with a sewing machine?
Transparent nylon is usually used by hand or with fine needles. For the sewing machine, Gutermann polyester sewing thread is more suitable: it guarantees uniform tension and smooth running in the bobbin case.
Are Tessiland special threads Italian quality?
Yes. All Tessiland special threads are made to the highest Italian quality standards: strength, stable colors and safe to use even in contact with the skin.
