How to Choose Katia Yarn
Shaded and multicolour Katia wool
These are the balls that colour your work by themselves. Merino Ombré (virgin wool and acrylic, 80 g) is made for jumpers, hats and matching accessories. Holi is a 200 g cake with 660 metres, for stoles, ponchos and tops where colour takes the lead. Paint Lover, 400 g and over a thousand metres, is enough for blankets, throws and large shawls. Bulky Tweed Inspiration combines tweed and a long colour change in a 300 g ball. For little ones there is Merino Baby Aquarelle, 100% virgin merino wool. For a special effect you will find Comet Ombré, shaded and shiny, The Basic Bubbles, a multicolour acrylic, and Fur Moda 100, a faux fur effect for edgings, collars and cuffs.
Katia Concept: alpaca, silk and cashmere
Concept by Katia is the line with the most precious fibres. It includes Alpaca Lace, Cotton Merino and Silky Lace Rainbow, which you find above, together with Atenea Tones (virgin wool, cotton and cashmere), Fil d'Aria (light and airy virgin wool) and Silk Alpaca (alpaca and silk bouclé). For a touch of sparkle in winter accessories there is also Alpaca Silver, an alpaca yarn with a silver effect.
Chenille and chunky yarns for quick projects
Big Bambi is the thick, velvety chenille by Katia: 200 g per ball, to work with large crochet hooks for very soft projects that grow fast. For small, colourful makes there is Velvet Mini, which you find above.
