Mini crochet ice creams: a burst of color in a tiny version for the summer.
Handmade crochet ice creams.
Some summers smell like the sea, others like freedom. And then there are summers shaped like a funny and irresistible crochet ice cream—mini, adorable, and… super colorful! We've seen them pop up here and there, between a virtual hammock and a creative dive into our LIDO TESSILAND, that digital beach that doesn’t sell slushies but offers plenty of inspiration. And now, they're ready to brighten up your keychain too.
Yes, you heard right. These little amigurumi ice creams are the perfect project to add sparkle to your summer days, decorate bags, backpacks or simply make you smile every time you look for your keys at the bottom of your bag. Small, easy to make, and super Instagrammable!
Materials to make your mini ice creams
To bring these mini delights to life, you only need a few ingredients—just like a good homemade ice cream.
- 100% cotton yarn: our beloved Igyy Cotton Tessiland is perfect—fresh, compact, and available in a mouth-watering color palette. Choose at least two different shades: one for the cone and one for the contrasting flavor.
- Crochet hook no. 3, for a tight and precise result.
- Stuffing, to insert inside and add volume.
- Yarn needle and scissors.
- iggy hooks stuffing
- needle scissors
Small tools, big results. In less than an hour, you can make your first ice cream and—warning—it’s addictive!

When in doubt: the more ice creams you make, the more fun you have.
From the Tessiland Lido to your keyring
This project premiered exclusively within the content of the LIDO TESSILAND, the virtual beach where creatives meet daily to share ideas, chat, and… crochet like pros.
It was there that the ice creams began to circulate as the “must-have of the 2025 creative summer”, and that’s where the idea was born to bring them out into the world and into every bag.
Because a tiny crochet ice cream is not just a cute object: it’s a symbol of lightness, summer handmade joy, and that carefree vibe that feels like sand between your fingers and projects under a beach umbrella.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your hook and help yourself: today we’re making ice cream—by hand and with love.
