There are colors that don’t ask to be noticed, but simply let themselves be admired.
Blue is one of them. Deep, elegant, timeless. That kind of blue that feels like velvet, like evening, like walks among city lights when the air gets cooler.
And from there, she was born: the Royal Bag, a crochet bag that has all the grace of a couture accessory and the sweetness of handmade creations.
I chose to call it that because of its color: a royal, sophisticated blue that conveys elegant vibes at first glance.
And then, that hint of softness visible in the details — because yes, for autumn/winter 2025, a faux fur or suede effect was a must, soft and cozy like a woolen embrace.
It’s the perfect bag for those who love to stand out with discretion, for those who choose class even when it comes to crochet.
Few materials, but carefully chosen — because even simplicity, when well thought out, becomes luxury.
The Ternes is the undisputed star: compact, full-bodied, with a velvety touch that’s perfect for structured bags.
The Dion, on the other hand, adds that golden sparkle — subtle and bright — that turns every edge into a little jewel.
The project is divided into 3 main phases:
1 The main panel
2 The base and sides
3 The handles
Let’s look at them in detail:
Start by chaining 27 stitches.
Then work one double crochet in each stitch, back and forth, until you have 13 complete rows.
Each row corresponds to a round trip, so you will make a total of 26 rows of double crochet.
This panel will form the main body of your bag.
For the bottom and sides, chain 14 stitches and go back working one double crochet in each stitch.
Repeat the same process until you have 15 rows, that is, 30 rows in total (counting back and forth).
For each handle, make 6 chains and go back with single crochet.
Continue like this for 27 rows and repeat the same for the second handle.
We create a kind of cross with the two main panels: we will place the vertical panel and the second one horizontally, then we will sew the mesh inside the joint between the two panels see the red arrow. Sew the base between the two panels with a wool needle with a nylon eye.

At this point comes the most magical part: the finishing with the white Dion yarn with gold lurex. With this bright touch, you’ll edge your bag, making it even more elegant and unique. I joined the height of the two panels, and this gave the bag its rectangular shape.
Finally, with a wool needle and scissors, carefully sew all the parts together and watch your creation take shape.
The Royal Bag is not just a crochet project.
It’s a hug, a statement of style, and a caress to the slow rhythm of creativity.
A way to say: “I made it myself, with my own hands.”
And believe me, it shows.
Royal Bag is the perfect project for those who love handmade bags with character and grace. Because sometimes, all it takes is a blue thread and a touch of gold to truly feel like a queen.
