Crochet Revolution: From Grandmothers to Spring 2024 Bags.

I was about 7 years old when my grandmother first showed me the chain stitch, and I still remember my reaction:

''THIS OLD PEOPLE'S THING IS USELESS TO ME'', she smiled at me and said:

''I know, but let's play and see who can make it longer'', unaware that for her it was a pastime to distract me from the TV.

After that afternoon, I never saw or touched a crochet hook again, surely due to my age and different interests as a teenager.

Then one day, I found myself in a strange world, the TESSILAND world, where knitting needles, crochet hooks, and yarns are daily bread, and day after day, my curiosity grew stronger, so much so that I had my own crochet hooks and created projects that reflected my taste.

Now it’s me who entertains my grandmother while we chat, and I undo and recreate more elaborate stitches. I watch her out of the corner of my eye and see her smile when I manage to crochet a nice piece without undoing it again. You might be wondering, so what? Why should we care?

I wanted a different introduction for this new article, and so while I was wondering what article to propose to you, I thought of something innovative to modernize the idea that crochet means ''GRANDMOTHER'' or SOMETHING OLD, (luckily grandma won’t read that I called her old, but you get what I mean, right?)

Let’s get back to our relationship with the handmade world. As I was saying, today I decided to show you how to "modernize" this crochet world and thought of showing you 3 bag models for spring-summer 2024 to make and arrange after the seasonal change.

I already warn you that I have also varied the sizes so that you can wear a different model at any time or for any commitment.

Didima Bag

Let’s start with the DIDIMA BAG, ideal for those who spend the day out of the house, or for those who on an outing do not want to give up everything needed during the day. As you might have guessed, I selected this model for its medium/large size.
