Between the Sanremo Music Festival, the second part of Bridgerton and Milan Fashion Week, this week for lovers of lightness (the healthy kind that makes you sleep less and comment more) has been a race against time.

And then: Mara Sattei telling (finally!) the whole world that when anxiety rises, she calms down with crochet. A moment of collective truth: therapy is a yarn ball, sometimes. After saying goodbye to the city of flowers, mental suitcase ready: destination fashion capital, because Milan Fashion Week has already whispered to us what we’ll (probably) see again next winter 2026/2027. And since we creatives don’t watch runways just to dream, but to steal ideas and turn them into stitches, textures and details… here are the gems to save.

1) Roses, beads, texture: romance that doesn’t ask permission

Among the strongest inspirations: roses, raised textures, beads and that pale-yellow & hazelnut palette that instantly says hot tea + a serious coat. Your moodboard also has plenty of room for cleaner, more linear bags with jewel-like appliqués and tone-on-tone crochet flowers. How to bring it into handmade (without losing your mind):

• 3D crochet roses: appliqués to sew onto bags, vests, hats, scarves.
• “Sprinkled” beads: not everything has to shine like a chandelier. Add beads only on edges, flaps, handles, or as a “constellation” on one panel.
• Raised stitch patterns: ribbing, waffle, granite stitch, bobble stitch… anything you can “feel” is runway-approved.

2) Clean, sensual, tailored: when the line does everything (and you do the rest)

There’s a very clear thread: tailored, essential, almost quiet lines… but with details that scratch: lace, animal print, tartan (even in bright versions like yellow), and fringes everywhere.

Handmade version:

• Tailored in crochet = clean construction: straight panels, precise seams, neat edges, structured handles.
• Lace, yes—but modern: chic filet, geometric motifs, controlled sheer inserts (the “peekaboo, but polite” kind).
• Animal print & tartan: recreate them with tapestry crochet, knitted jacquard, or… the smart shortcut: lining or a detail (inner pocket, flap, edging).

• “Soft” version: oversized vest in plush/fluffy yarn for a cozy-luxury vibe.
• Chic detail to copy: contrast edging (even just 1 round) or jewel buttons.

4) Earthy colors + layering: a wardrobe that smells like woods and coffee

Here the keyword is: layer. Earthy colors, layered looks, crewneck sweaters, long skirts, striped sets, cardigans… and statement accessories like maxi scarves and neck warmers with special edging.

What to copy right away:

6) Lurex, flowers, stones, brooches: the detail that makes the difference

The runways confirm it: jewelry-like details are back everywhere. Lurex, applied flowers, stones on sheers, brooches (even with charms). It’s the perfect moment to say: okay minimal, but let me shine—politely.

A smart idea (zero stress, maximum impact): use a yarn with a subtle shine only for edges or thin stripes, then add a removable brooch: today on your coat, tomorrow on your bag, the day after on your hat.

Sanremo gave us the emotions, Bridgerton put the romance back on our shoulders (and a craving for interesting collars), and Milan Fashion Week handed us the creative shopping list: textures, details, statement accessories.
