Crochet to-do list: the key projects to wrap up winter 2026
January is slowly closing the door and we add just one thing: FINALLY.
We don’t know if it’s the same for you, but this month has a special talent for messing with your mood: the restart, sky-high expectations, the light arriving late, the good intentions we jot down and then don’t stick to… the point is, at a certain moment you just want to move on.
These days, while we were planning the next contents, we remembered it’s almost over and with February we already feel closer to something positive. Okay, February isn’t exactly a Rio Carnival, but between Valentine’s Day, Carnival, that slightly lighter vibe, a few fewer days on the calendar and a pinch of romance in the air… it definitely convinces us more. And then yes, can we say it? Spring is already close.
If you live in the mountains, you know it: one ray of sunshine and a few extra degrees are enough to feel more productive and positive. And let’s not forget we have an ace up our sleeve that works in our favor. What is it? Being creative. And we’re reading it everywhere: lately even more, many people are turning to slow hobbies to stop scrolling social feeds or to reconnect with themselves. Crochet calms you down and boosts personal satisfaction.
We can already picture you wearing one of the trends we’ve selected: someone stops you and asks, “Where did you get it?” and you, with that pride we absolutely love, answer: “I made it.” That’s why we decided to write this article: to leave you a clear, practical guide to the projects to make right now, with the end of winter in mind. A creative to-do list, no stress—just the right ideas at the right time.
To-do list of crochet projects to make for the end of winter 2026.
Crochet hats.
Crochet hats are the smartest shortcut of the season: they protect you, brighten you up, and define your style. They work with a tailored coat, a bomber, a puffer, the sporty look we wear to the gym. The 2026 version doesn’t ask for shyness—it asks for color.
We selected a slightly different model than usual, a must-have for 2026: the hat with cat ears.
For this project we recommend BRAVISSIMO50 in the BORDEAUX and OCRA shades:
Here’s Brunaticality’s video:
Balaclava: the accessory for street-style lovers.
The balaclava is the accessory that stopped being just functional: it went viral, worn by everyone, regardless of age or gender. It entered the wardrobe as a styling piece, to show off in the city, on the ski slopes, for going to work or for walks with friends. The accessory that makes you say: I like it—and it looks good on me too. Some chose solid colors, some ombré, some granny… basically, there’s something for everyone.
We made one in the GRANNY SQUARE version—discover HOW TO MAKE IT.
Romantic scarf.
When we looked for the characteristics of the scarf to wear in 2026, we smiled and proudly bring you a project signed by Tessiland Crew, our Creative Team that crochets and shares tutorials for viral, on-trend projects. So here’s Nina, the little scarf—perfect for Valentine’s Day but also for the month of February. I made this project myself, and please give EDITH a chance because I fell in love with it.
I used 3 colors: White, Pink, and Red.
And here’s how to make it:
Crochet mittens and hand warmers.
Crochet mittens.
Crochet mittens are back because they’re comfy, warm, and have that romantic winter vibe that always works. Even though, to be honest, they remind us a lot of mountain walks. We selected a Brunaticality tutorial.
She used BARRY yarn in the YELLOW and MUSTARD shades.
For the tutorial, just follow this video.
Crochet hand warmers.
This is the accessory that exploded at the start of the year—proof is the number of posts from Gen Z and Millennials on TikTok and Instagram showing crochet hand warmers of every kind. Solid colors, ombré, straight, with ruffles, themed… basically, there’s something for every taste. We made a model for BLUE MONDAY.
Follow the few simple steps:
Crochet bookmarks and car hangers.
The crochet bookmark is the one you should make and always carry in your bag with the book you’re reading. We created a collection with 3 fruit-themed ideas—discover it HERE.
For the car hangers, we relied on Brunaticality, who made a really cute one using Thai Sublime cord, Donny cotton, and Bravissimo Brown.
Here’s the video tutorial:
Pop details: headphone covers and charger covers.
Headphone covers are a detail loved by younger people: themed around TV series, in specific colors—it's not just about making them by hand; wearing them is like sending a message: I wear this accessory because this is me. It’s wonderful to see how many are showing off small crochet details in everyday life.
Another cute thing to make is the charger cover: a practical gesture that decorates your space and protects the cable.
For these projects, we’re happy to let you know we’ll be creating tutorials with Tessiland Crew.

How to choose without going crazy: one simple rule
Choose based on three parameters: time, weather, life.
-If you’re often outdoors: beanie, balaclava.
-If you want instant satisfaction: scrunchies, bows, bookmarks, charger cover.
-If you want a project you’ll use every day: scarf or hand warmers.
The point isn’t to do more—it’s to do better. And better, here, means creating an object you’ll actually use. That’s the most elegant form of sustainability.
Now it’s getting serious—but without pressure.
If you’ve made it this far, it’s because you don’t just want to “get through” the end of winter—you want to cross it with style. And the truth is, one right project is enough to change how you feel during this transition. A colorful beanie to go out and look in the mirror with more energy. A balaclava to face wind and long days without losing charm. Or a pop detail, like a headphone cover or a charger cover, to put your signature on everyday life.
In the tutorials that go with the article, you’ll find the practical steps and recommended materials, with matched products that link directly to the shop: not to “sell randomly”, but to make everything smoother, from idea to finished result.
And now tell us... which project will you choose to wrap up winter 2026 with the feeling that you’re already restarting?
