Hard-wearing materials — metal, plastic, nylon — in every diameter, from small for baby clothes to large for coats and bags.
You'll also find all our decorative and classic buttons and the other closures for clothing and accessories.
Sew-on or press-fit
Some snap fasteners are fixed with needle and thread, others go on in seconds with pliers or a dedicated tool: choose based on the fabric and the convenience you want.
Metal, plastic and colours
Metal snap buttons are the toughest for heavy garments; plastic and nylon ones, light and colourful, are ideal for bodysuits, rompers and baby clothes.

How to apply snap buttons
The way you fix a snap fastener depends on the type:
- Sew-on: the two halves are fixed to the fabric with needle and thread, like a traditional button. Ideal on wool, thick fabrics and knitwear.
- Press-fit: fitted with pliers or a dedicated tool that closes the snap onto the fabric in seconds, with no sewing.
- Sew-on nylon: light and clear, sewn onto delicate garments where the snap shouldn't be seen.
Which snap button size to choose
Small diameters, from 8 to 11 mm, are made for light garments, bodysuits and baby clothes; large sizes, up to 25 mm, hold better on coats, bags and visible closures. For handmade bags you can also pair them with our magnetic closures.
BUYING GUIDE: how to choose among snap buttons
Three variables to pick the right snap fastener:
1. How you want to apply it
- Sew-on: maximum hold, for anyone who already has needle and thread and works with thick fabrics.
- With pliers or tool: very fast to fit, ideal when you need many (baby clothes, blouses).
2. The material
- Metal: the toughest, for heavy garments and bags.
- Plastic and nylon: light, rust-free, ideal for washable and baby garments.
3. The size
- Small (8-11 mm): light and baby clothing.
- Large (up to 25 mm): coats, bags and visible closures.
Frequently asked questions about snap buttons
What's the difference between snap buttons and snap fasteners?
None: they are two names for the same item. It's a closure made of two halves that click together under light pressure, with no buttonhole needed. They are also called "press studs" or "poppers" because they close with a simple snap.
How do you apply snap buttons?
It depends on the model. Sew-on ones are fixed to the fabric with needle and thread; press-fit ones are fitted with pliers or a dedicated tool that closes the two halves onto the fabric in seconds, with no sewing.
Metal or plastic snap buttons — which is better?
Metal is more durable and suited to heavy garments, bags and closures under strain. Plastic and nylon are lighter, don't rust and are perfect for frequently washed garments and for baby clothes.
Which snap button size should I choose?
For bodysuits, rompers and baby clothes, small sizes of 8 to 11 mm are used; for coats, jackets and bags, large snap buttons up to 25 mm are chosen, offering a stronger hold and also working as a visible closure.
