Tips for Applying the Automatic Button
To best apply the automatic button, here are some practical tips:
- Material Preparation: Choose a sturdy thread suitable for the fabric you will be applying the button to. GUTERMANN SEWING THREAD, known for its strength and durability, is an excellent choice. If you are working with heavy fabrics or materials like leather, consider using NYLON thread for extra hold.
- Button Placement: Before sewing, position the two parts of the button on the fabric to determine the exact point where you want to apply it, and gently mark the position with a PENCIL or CHALK WHEEL to ensure precision during sewing.
- Button Fastening: Start by sewing the back part of the button, ensuring it is securely fixed and stable. Then proceed with the front part, sewing it carefully and ensuring that the stitches are solid and discreet. Make multiple passes with the thread to ensure that the button is well anchored to the fabric.
